About Us
The English Camp Company, L.L.C. was founded in 2008 by Ashleigh McLean & Nathanial Poerio. Nate Poerio is from Annapolis, Maryland and has been living in Italy since 2006. During the school year he teaches elementary school English in Umbria. Other than organizing English Camp and English Camp activities - he loves playing golf, skiing, playing with his dog Alba, gardening (although he is not very good) and eating Italian food.  Ashleigh McLean was born in Adelaide, Australia and moved to the United Kingdom in 1999 with her family. In June 2009 she graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA in German and International Development. Ashleigh now lives in Italy and currently spends her time organising English Camps in Italy and Austria. She loves to travel and experience different cultures. We started English Camp with the idea of bringing fun, reasonably priced, and well organized activites to Italian children and their families. The children that attend English Camp not only have the chance to learn English while enjoying themselves, but also to see a different culture and try new activities. We think English Camp is something special and should be a great experience for everyone that takes part - the school that hosts the camp, the children, the tutors, the host families, and of course we take a lot of pride in doing our part to create so many smiles.
